"Investment Weekly" has always been highly regarded since its launch
by Sing Tao Daily. Apart from being bundled with Sing Tao Daily
on Monday, starting from mid August, a retail version was also made
available on Sunday to better serve readers' and advertisers' needs.
Sing Tao Daily's Education Section has published a number of booklets
for students. The redemption of HKALE and HKCEE Guidebooks was met
with overwhelming response. In addition, the Primary Schools Parent's
Guidebook and Seminar were also highly commended by kindergarten
parents.
"Property Browser" also reached new heights in circulation through
"Summer Special" promotional activities. One of the highlights was

to Oracle Added Value Report (May 2006), Headline Daily
has became the No.1 free newspaper in Hong Kong in less
than one year after its launch. With comprehensive content,
a high quality reader's base and a wide distribution
network, Headline Daily's readership reached 1,269,000
and is highly acclaimed by advertisers. To celebrate
its 1st anniversary, Headline Daily rolled out "The
HK No.1 Free Newspaper" advertising campaign and a series
of marketing events to further reinforce its leading
position in the market.
In addition, the free weekend newspaper Express Post,
distributed at MTR stations and residential estates,

Leader of the Year 2006 - Hong Kong's Annual Event
"Leader of the Year" is an annual event held since 1994 by
Sing Tao News Corporation Limited to recognize those leaders

This year, the award will be presented to winners in four

The Standard launched an interactive listening & reading

The Standard Publishes "Offshore

The
Standard published the "Offshore Financial Services Guide 2006-07"
as a tool book for entrepreneurs investing abroad. This 152-page
Guide provided comprehensive information on 25 offshore centres
such as Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Hong
Kong and Labuan, including a complete overview of each offshore

East Week Unveils the First

East Week takes the lead in organizing the first "Maximum Luxury's
Choice" on August 22 at IFC Lumiere, in recognizing the most successful
brands and products of the year. At the award presentation ceremony,
15 awards were presented by esteemed individuals including Ms. Qiqi,

Tao Publishing Summer Activities Keep Rolling

In conjunction with the Hong Kong Book Fair on July
19-24, Sing Tao Publishing exhibited over 200 titles
and offered a number of new books including "Cars",
"The Story Behind English Idiom", "Next Station - Sapporo",
"City Science", "Trivia - Public Affairs 4", "Master
So Art", as well as the best-selling titles, "Primary
School Guide" and "Financial Management". With readers'
support, Sing Tao Publishing recorded favourable results
at this year's Book Fair.
In addition to participating in the Book Fair, Sing
Tao Publishing also joined hands with other organizations
in carrying out a series of parenting and civic education

Tao News Corporation Co-organizes "Shanxi Promotion of Talent
Fair Hong Kong 2006"

"Shanxi Promotion of Talent Fair Hong Kong 2006", organized
by The People's Government of Shanxi Province and co-organized
by Sing Tao News Corporation, was held on July 25 at Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Being one of the largest
recruitment events ever held outside Shanxi Province, Director
of Personnel Department of Shanxi Province Xing Yanfen said,
"This recruitment covers 200 investment projects, most of
which are pillar industries of Shanxi, and some positions
offer an annual salary of up to RMB 1 million."
The Fair was officiated by Mr Stephen Ip, The Secretary for
Economic Development and Labour, together with many special
guests from education and business sectors. With an aim in
strengthening the co-operation with Hong Kong through talent
exchange, an agreement was signed between Sing Tao News Corporation
and the Personnel Department of Shanxi Province. The Fair
was highly successful and well attended by talents from Hong
Kong.

EDUplus was renamed EDUplus.com.hk in July with a new logo
and a "Work and Learn" slogan, to signify that working and
learning are closely interrelated. To further reflect its
philosophy, contents have been enhanced by including new sections
such as "Continuous Professional Development (CPD)" and "Workplace
Competency", together with "Career Advice Q&A", hosted by
professionals and scholars, as well as "2U", tailor-made for
Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students, with contents

In this year's Hong Kong Book Fair, Global China Circulation

Moment" T-shirts at the fair. With visitors' support, GCCD
achieved satisfactory sales results.

This summer, Sing Tao Daily's overseas offices participated
in a variety of events to promote Chinese culture. Sing Tao
Daily's New York office, being the exclusive Chinese print
media sponsor, took part in the "Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival"
in August which is its third year in this event. Sing Tao
Daily's London office participated in the "2006 Ascot Hong
Kong Day". The horseracing event, organized by the Hong Kong
Jockey Club, is an annual event for the local Chinese community.
In addition, Sydney office also co-organized the "2006 National
Chinese Eisteddfod" to promote Chinese culture to local residents
and other ethnic groups. The event was attended by over 3,100
participants.

49 staff were presented with Long Services Award, for their

Mr. Jason Ho, Financial Controller of the Group said, "I have
gone through different stages of the Group's development for

Tao News Corporation Reports Interim Results 2006
Sing Tao News Corporation Limited announced its interim results
on September 5. The consolidated revenue increased by 9.6%
to HK$937.3 million and profit attributable to equity holders
increased to HK$73.9 million, a growth of 70%. Excluding exceptional
and one-off items, the Group's profit for the Period was HK$56.8
million, representing an increase of 172%. The Group also
declared an interim dividend of HK$0.02 per share to shareholders.
