Tao Inter-School Debating Competition" Receives Overwhelming
Responses

Reaching its 23rd year, the "Sing
Tao Inter-School Debating Competition " has received
overwhelming responses with over 230 teams enrolled.
A briefing seminar was held in November at which Mr.
Anthony Kwok, Director of Centaline Training Institute,
Mr. Robert Chau and Professor Alex Shiu were invited
to give advice on speech and debate techniques. The
winners of last year's competition were also present
to share their valuable experiences with the audience.
The event appealed to teachers and students from various
schools and attracted a full house.
The first round of the competition commenced on November
24. More compelling news regarding the competition will

East TOUCH
and EMax Co-organizes "Sneakers Expos 2007"

East TOUCH joined hands with EMax, a new shopping
mall at Kowloon Bay, to hold the "Sneakers Expos
2007" between November 4 and 11. Sam Lee, Theresa
Fu, Miki Yeung, Sherman Chung and Ken Hung and
the renowned local designer Eric So attended the
kick-off ceremony to grace the occasion. The exhibition
displayed over 200 styles of sneakers of different
prestigious brands such as adidas, Nike, Puma,
New Balance, VANS, Reebok and Converse. These
treasured sneakers valued at over HK$ 200,000
are either limited editions or have never been
sold in the public. In addition, to raise fund
for the charity and to coincide with the event,
the organizing committee produced a limited number
of T-shirt to be sold at the exhibition with all
proceeds from sale going to WWF Hong Kong.

The 2nd "Hong Kong School BLOG Award 2007" organized

Tao Overseas at a Glance

Sing Tao Daily's New York Office garnered a total of
7 awards, including 2 first places, from Independent
Press Association. The high-flying result together with
the previous successes have made it outshine in New
York's Chinese media field for five consecutive years.
