Sing Tao Daily scooped a total of seven awards in the "Hong Kong
News Awards 2007" organized by the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong.
It garnered the first place in Best News Page Design, 2nd runner-up
in Best News Reporting and 1st runner-up in Best Business News
Reporting. This achievement has further confirmed Sing Tao Daily's
position as a quality newspaper.
Meanwhile, The Standard collected three awards in this year's News
Awards, which included the first place and the 2nd runner-up in Best
Heading (English section) and the 2nd runner-up in Best Business News
Writing (English section).

Surpasses 430,000

East Week constantly strives to enhance the editorial quality
of its current affairs, entertainment and financial sections.
According to Synovate Media Atlas (2007), East Week's readership
has been on an increasing trend for four consecutive quarters in
2007. Soaring to 437,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007 from 411,000
in the first quarter, East Week now has the third highest readership
among all Hong Kong's magazines.

"Hong Kong Service Awards 2008"

"Hong Kong Service Awards" is organized annually by East Week
with an aim to pay tribute to companies and corporations who
dedicate themselves to enhance the living quality of Hong Kong
consumers. This year, the awards presentation ceremony held on
March 18 was officiated by Mr. Leung Chun Ying, Convenor of the
Non-official Members of the Executive Council. A total of 44

members of the Legislative Council and Mr. Heung Shu Fai,

Overseas at a Glance

Sing Tao Daily's overseas offices participated in a
variety of jovial occasions to celebrate the arrival
of the Year of the Rat with overseas Chinese. Through

New Printing
Factory Comes into Operation
The new printing factory in Tseung Kwan O came
into operation at the end of 2007. Equipped with
advanced machinery, the new factory enhances the
capacity of the existing Yuen Long factory and
allows the Group to meet the increasing printing

media business.
