Sing Tao News Corporation Scoops over 20 Awards
Sing Tao News Corporation's newspapers and magazines have gained wide acceptance and critical acclaim for its quality editorial content. As in previous years, the Group won plaudits in several contests in the newspaper industry this year. In the "Hong Kong News Awards 2008" organized by the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong, Sing Tao Daily, Headline Daily and The Standard picked up a combined total of 16 awards in Business News, News Page Design, Photographic Section and Headline Section, making Sing Tao News Corporation a big winner.
In addition, Sing Tao Daily and East Week were recognized for their outstanding performance and won seven awards in the "Focus at the Frontline 2008" contest held by the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association.

Sing Tao Education Offers a Wealth of Educational Resources
Sing Tao Daily brings its readers a rich collection of educational resources on a daily basis and rolls out quality educational guide books regularly. The Standard Initiates a Wide Spectrum of Promotional Activities
The Standard joined forces with different companies to launch a variety of promotional campaigns in a bid to enhance its reputation in different sectors. During the Lunar New Year holiday, The Standard collaborated with Twentieth Century Fox and Kentac Investments to give away 250 tickets of "Valkyrie" to its readers. The event was well-responded with as many as 645 entries being received within two weeks. Another activity held in the same period was "The Aure's Mozart Concert" in which The Standard gave out tickets to readers on a first-come, first-serve basis. Organized by The Standard and Pro Arte Orchestra of HK, the event appealed to classical music lovers. Moreover, The Standard acted as the sponsor, for the fourth time, of Perform Now HK's events and was the exclusive media sponsor for a piano performance named "Romantic Russians, The Forgotten Master".
Not only did The Standard exert itself in promoting cultural and leisure activities, it catered for the needs of frequent travellers as well and carried on cooperating with DMG Hong Kong Co. Ltd.
