Sing Tao Newspaper Group Scoops Twenty Prizes in "Hong Kong News Awards 2011"
The Group's newspapers won a number of prizes in "Hong Kong News Awards 2011" organized by The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong. Sing Tao Daily was awarded with twelve prizes including four championships, three first runner-ups, one second runner-up and a number of merits in Best News Reporting, Best Scoop and other categories. Headline Daily received the first runner-up in Best Science News Reporting, while The Standard received a total of seven prizes including all the top three positions in Best Headline for English. Sing Tao Newspaper Group Champions Scholastic Debating Events
The annual "Sing Tao Inter-School Debating Competition", co-organised by Sing Tao News Corporation and Education Bureau, has stepped into its 27th year. Overwhelming responses were received this year, with a total of 180 teams participating. After over a hundred rounds of competitions, four finalists from the Chinese and English sections will showcase their debating talents at the May 11 final. Headline Daily Launches Recycling Scheme
As the No. 1 free newspaper in Hong Kong, Headline Daily has an extensive distribution network including various MTR stations.
